When your environment is thriving, rich with greenery and beautiful colors, your work thrives also. We have spent many years working in unpleasant workspaces that do not allow for personal expression. I once worked for a company that did not allow any personal items to be placed on our desks, nor were we allowed to pin anything to the dreary walls of our cubicles. B-o-r-i-n-g!

Enhanced environment
Studies have shown that plants and flowers can boost your mood and productivity. If you need an easy, inexpensive way to lift your spirits and increase your work outcome so you can get more done everyday, then consider adding a plant or two to your desk.

Tip:
If you're not very good with plants, faux greenery works just as well. You can get rubber plants at a decent price from most craft stores, or discount stores such as Home Goods, Ross or Hobby Lobby.
Here’s how to do it:
Take a photograph of your workspace
Head to your nearest decor store
Go straight to the home section
Find plants that are most appealing to you
Using the photograph, imagine the space with the different plants you have identified
Decide which one you like best, and fits within your workspace and then buy that one
Dedicate a place for it, and remember to give it some love
